Custom Tent: What You Can Specify Before You Order

A custom tent is not a size, a shape or a logo file. It is a written specification: which confirmed platform, which listed size, which walls, which printed surfaces, which fixing kit for your ground, and which delivery date. This page sets out what you can specify, the six inputs we need to quote it, and the line where a specification stops being something we can put in writing. Custom print starts at one unit. 20 years of manufacturing experience.

Quick Answer: What is a custom tent?

A custom tent is an inflatable tent specified against your brief instead of picked from a stock listing: the model, one of that model's listed sizes, the walls, the printed surfaces, the fixing kit and the packing are chosen together and confirmed in writing. KCCE builds these on Oxford cloth covers over TPU inner liners, which inflate once and hold pressure with the valve closed. Custom print starts at one unit, pricing is Quoted per project (FOB), and production time is confirmed in writing after design approval.

What “Custom” Actually Changes

Someone searching for a custom tent usually has not chosen a structure yet. They have a date, a patch of ground and a brand that needs to be visible. This page is the decision point before any of the product-specific pages: it explains what a written specification covers, what we need from you to build one, and which claims we will not put in writing at all.

Three words get used interchangeably and they describe three different orders. A printed tent changes the artwork on a listed model. A custom tent specifies the model, one of its listed sizes, the walls and closures, the printed surfaces, the fixing kit for the ground and the packing as one order. A bespoke structure suggests something built from nothing — and on this site it never means inventing a model or a dimension that has no manual behind it. Custom shapes are a written option on several ranges; everything else is a configuration of a confirmed product.

That distinction is not pedantry. It decides which of our pages answers your question. If you already know you want Pantone matching, OEM branding or a private-label run, the تخصيص الخيام الهوائية القابلة للنفخ page covers that work in detail. If you are comparing factory capability, QC and production capacity, the شركة تصنيع خيمة قابلة للنفخ مخصصة page is the one. If the job is a whole exhibition frontage with arches, columns and connecting cloth, see custom trade show displays. If you already know the footprint, the 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 or 10x10 pages each cover one written size. This page sits upstream of all of them.

The hardware behind every one of those orders is the same family: an Oxford cloth canopy over a TPU air frame, inflated once through its valves and then closed. Air-tight units hold their shape with no live supply while the stand is open; XIC is the one range that runs on a blower and needs power for as long as it stands. Legs are fixed with guy ropes and ground stakes on sand or grass, or with guy ropes and sand bags on surfaces that cannot be drilled. Nothing about the fixing is improvised on the morning, because the ground is one of the six inputs in the brief.

Why do experienced buyers standardise one specification instead of ordering fresh each time? The calendar. A spring fair, a dealer open day, a product launch and an outdoor roadshow each need a covered, signed space on ground that belongs to somebody else. One approved artwork, one fixing kit per floor type and one labelled bag per surface let the same custom tent be rebuilt at every venue, with the city or the date on a changeable valance rather than a new structure.

Finally, a custom tent is a written object. The quote names the platform, the listed size, every printed surface, the walls, the fixing kit, the packing and the delivery date. Anything we cannot source to a printed product manual does not go into that document. Section 06 sets that boundary out explicitly, because a supplier willing to write down an invented size or an unverified material figure is a supplier who will be vague about the delivery date too.

02 — From Blank to Printed

The Three Decisions Behind Every Custom Tent

The first three cards follow a single order from an unprinted canopy to a set of named print surfaces; the last three are the briefs buyers most often mix up. Whether the enquiry says custom tents, custom made tent, bespoke inflatable tent أو تصميم خيمة مخصص, the specification is built from the same list of decisions.

The blank start

Every Custom Order Starts Here

A plain canopy on a paved terrace, unprinted and unassigned. This is the honest starting point for a custom tent: before the platform, the footprint and the artwork are fixed, the structure is just covered space. Decide what the tent has to do first — a queue, a product table, a registration desk or a photographed backdrop — and the specification follows from that job.

  • Decide the job first
  • Hardstanding

One Artwork Across Every Visible Panel

A full-graphic print running over the roof and the walls of a large structure on grass. The same frame that starts plain can carry one approved artwork on the canopy, the valance and the returns, so the tent reads as one object from three sides. Print is a dimension you specify, not a separate product — and it is the one that needs a signed proof before production.

The Arch Is Another Print Surface

A large air-tight arch part-unpacked on a concrete yard. Square, angled and round arches are listed in the manuals, with an optional banner fixed through eyelets. On a custom tent order the arch is a separate surface with its own file and its own approval, just as a column touch-fastener print patch is. Name every surface in the brief, or one of them arrives plain.

  • Air-tight arch
  • Banner with eyelets
  • Separate approval

Custom, printed or bespoke are three different briefs

A printed tent changes the artwork on a listed platform. A custom tent specifies the platform, the listed size, the walls, the fixing kit and the artwork together. Bespoke is used loosely online, but on this site it never means inventing a model or a size that is not in the manuals: custom shapes are a written option on certain ranges, and everything else is a configuration of a confirmed product. Say which of the three you mean and the quote is faster.

  • Three briefs
  • No invented models
  • Written shape options

The cover changes, the frame stays

The manuals describe changing the canopy: deflate the unit, take the cloth cover off the closed TPU inner liner and fit a new one. That is the real basis for a reseller, an agency or a brand running two campaigns on one frame. Specify the spare or replacement cover in the first order so the colour and the print method match, and keep the original proof on file for the next run.

  • Change canopy
  • TPU inner liner
  • Two campaigns

One brief, several venues

A field team rarely books one date. One approved artwork, one fixing kit per floor type and one labelled bag per surface let the same custom tent be rebuilt at each venue, with the city or the date dropping onto a valance or a banner rather than a whole new structure. Send the venue list with the enquiry so the kit and the repeat sets are quoted once for the season.

  • Repeated build

03 — Platforms

The Platforms You Can Actually Specify

Five KCCE ranges appear below because each one illustrates a different dimension of a custom tent specification. Sizes are the listed specifications for that model, not recommendations: ask for the table that applies to the platform you choose. The point here is which part of the order each model lets you decide, not a dimension to memorise.

Dimension: square or rectangular

N Inflatable Tent

Blue KCCE N inflatable tent with a wide arched canopy

N is the platform a buyer starts from when the footprint is still open: its manual lists both square and rectangular formats, so the frontage can be held constant while the depth changes between venues. Ask for the listed sizes for the model you are specifying rather than a round number invented for a floor plan. The Oxford cloth cover is removable and takes print on the roof, the valance and the walls.

Dimension: awnings & joining cloth

خيمة قابلة للنفخ XL-A

Blue KCCE XL-A inflatable tent, rectangular canopy with a projecting awning

The XL-A manual lists wide and narrow awnings plus wide and narrow connecting cloth. Those are the parts a first custom tent brief usually leaves out, and they are the difference between one continuous branded frontage and two separate tents with a gap. Put the connecting cloth in the same artwork brief as the canopy, not into a second order six weeks later.

U Inflatable Tent

Blue KCCE U inflatable tent with an arched canopy over four tubular legs

Bar-bag fixing is standard on U and the manual calls for one to two people to put it up. Fixing is a specification choice, not an afterthought: a hired hall floor cannot be drilled, grass takes stakes, and a paved forecourt takes weighted bags. State the ground with the enquiry so the correct kit is quoted with the tent instead of discovered on the morning.

AII Inflatable Tent

Blue KCCE AII inflatable tent with a single arched canopy and four tubular legs

AII is held down by iron block weights and its roof is attached with Velcro, so the cover comes off without tools. That is the platform to name when a custom tent has to serve two campaigns: the frame stays, the printed cloth changes. The manuals describe changing the canopy by deflating the unit and fitting a new cover over the closed TPU inner liner.

F Inflatable Tent

F is supplied with two manuals covering the same square structure, and its wall list is the longest in the range: lateral, window, door, reversible double-sided, double and triple walls, plus a reversible back wall. Decide the closure before the artwork is laid out, because a printed back wall and an open pass-through are different briefs.

04 — The Brief

The Six Inputs We Need Before We Can Quote

A custom tent quote cannot be built from a size alone. These six lines are what turn an enquiry into a specification; with only one of them, the first reply is five questions and the show date moves a week closer.

What the tent has to do

Write the job in one line: a queue, a product demonstration, a registration desk, a sampling bar or a photographed backdrop. A custom tent specified as a list of features but without a job gets quoted for the wrong walls, the wrong opening and the wrong print placement. The job decides the layout; the layout decides everything else.

The ground, and what may touch it

Hired hall floors and paved forecourts cannot be drilled. The manuals give guy ropes with ground stakes for sand and grass, and guy ropes with sand bags as an all-surface standard that leaves no mark. State the surface and whether the tent is indoors, so the fixing kit is in the quote rather than hired on the day.

The footprint the organiser actually gives you

Record the bay dimensions, the clear height, any maximum build height and the rule about fixings and power. Ask for the listed sizes for the model you are considering; do not design the artwork to a round number that no manual lists. A portable custom tent is easy to move and hard to re-approve once the print has been cut.

The artwork you can actually supply

A vector logo where possible, the brand colours, and the exact text each surface must carry. The roof, the valance, the walls, an arch banner and a column patch are separate surfaces cut from one approved file. If a campaign has a fixed date or a city that changes per venue, decide now which of those belongs on a changeable banner.

Quantity, venues and repeat sets

One unit is a valid order, but a tour, a franchise network or a dealer programme is not the same quotation. Say how many sets, how many venues and whether replacement covers will be needed later. OEM/ODM and private-label packing are discussed against the brief, not against a published minimum.

The fixed date

Send the show date, the launch or the opening with the enquiry. Production time is confirmed in writing after design approval, and the artwork proof is the long pole. A custom tent that lands the week after the fair is the wrong specification regardless of the print.

05 — Dimensions

Every Dimension You Can Specify

These are the lines that actually appear in a written custom tent order. Every one of them has a basis in the printed product manuals, and each one changes the quotation — so a brief that says only “one branded tent” arrives as four different interpretations.

Platform, listed size and shape

Start from the model whitelist in the manuals, then pick a size that the chosen model actually lists. Custom shapes and a Custom Shapes Wall are written options on the X, AI, AII, X6, XII and XL ranges. What we will not do is name a model or a dimension that has no manual behind it: a specification without a written basis is a guess, and a guess becomes a fitting problem on site.

Every printed surface

The canopy roof, valance and walls take print; X-series manuals list awnings and banners; column manuals list a touch-fastener print patch and arch manuals a banner with eyelets. The X-series manual is the only one that specifies a denier and a method: 400D Oxford cloth with heat transfer printing. We do not quote a denier for the other ranges, because the manuals do not give one.

Walls, awnings, joining pieces and light

Lateral, window, door, reversible double-sided, double and triple walls appear across the manuals; F adds reversible and double back walls. X and X6 list modular aluminium connectors for joining same-size units, XL-A lists wide and narrow connecting cloth, and an LED panel light is an option on several ranges. Each is a line on the specification, not an accessory discovered after delivery.

Fixing, packing and the spare kit

The standard packing list includes the storage bag, detachable legs, valves, ground stakes, guy ropes, TPU repair patches and a user manual; spare valve counts differ by model. Column and arch manuals list Regular and Zipper versions, and Zipper separates the cover from the inner liner for transport. Say where the set travels and how it will be stored, so the packing matches the tour.

06 — The Boundary

Where the Specification Stops

This is the part most supplier pages leave out. A custom tent is a written document, and a written document is only useful if every line in it can be supported. Here is what we specify, and what we deliberately do not put in writing — the same rules our own product documentation is built on.

Models and sizes come from the manuals, not the floor plan

Only the documented tent ranges, column types and arch types can be named, and a size only if that model lists it. If a venue plan shows a dimension no manual lists, we say so and offer the listed alternative rather than writing a number we cannot build to. Custom shapes are a written option on the X, AI, AII, X6, XII and XL ranges; everything else is a configuration.

Materials are described, not numbered

Canopies are Oxford cloth over TPU inner liners; columns and arches are a cloth cover over a TPU inner liner. The 400D figure and heat transfer printing are written only for the X series, so we do not quote a denier for the other ranges. We will not list fabric grades, coatings or unverified material numbers that do not appear in the manual for your model.

No performance or certification figures

Weights, weather-resistance figures, waterproof figures, exact capacities, certifications, blower parameters and inflation times are not quoted as numbers unless we have written documentation for the exact model. What we can state is qualitative and useful: Oxford cloth over a TPU air frame, sealed air that holds pressure with the valve closed, and a fixing kit matched to the ground you named.

Price and lead time are written, never guessed

Price follows the component list, the printed surfaces, the fixing kit and the number of repeat sets, so it comes back as Quoted per project (FOB) rather than a catalogue figure. Production time is confirmed in writing after design approval, not promised on a call. There is no published white-label minimum, because our order terms do not state one.

07 — After the Order

What Matters Once the Specification Is Signed

The artwork is approved and production has started. These six things are what separate a custom tent that is rebuilt cleanly at the second venue from one that spends its first morning being improvised.

Match the fixing kit to the surface, not to the catalogue

Guy ropes with ground stakes suit sand and grass; guy ropes with sand bags are the all-surface standard that leaves a hired floor unmarked. On a paved forecourt nothing is drilled. State the floor in the brief so the kit ships with the custom tent, and say if one of the venues is indoors, where the fixing changes again.

The proof is the long pole

Inflation takes minutes; artwork approval takes a round of emails. The roof, the valance, an arch banner and a column patch are separate surfaces from one file, and production starts only after the single proof is signed off. A custom tent with an unapproved panel is a tent that cannot be printed.

Keep the spare valves, patches and fixing kit with the set

The packing list includes TPU repair patches and spare inflation and safety valves, with counts that vary by model. When a set moves between venues the small parts are what go missing. Bag them with the labelled canopy, and check the count before the second build rather than at the venue.

Zipper versions matter on a touring order

The column and arch manuals list Regular and Zipper versions; Zipper adds a portable packaging zipper and a handle so the cloth cover and the inner liner separate for transport. For a custom tent that moves between cities, that difference shows up in the van, not in the photograph.

Label every panel by surface before it is bagged

A printed cover packed wet after an outdoor show is the reason the next venue opens with a marked frontage instead of a clean one. Let the cloth dry, then bag each surface with its component name on the outside. On an order with an arch, columns and a connecting cloth, the second-biggest delay after artwork is a valance nobody can find.

Ask which material line applies to the model you ordered

KCCE canopies are Oxford cloth over TPU inner liners, and the 400D figure with heat transfer printing is written only for the X series. Ask for the material line of the exact model in your quotation. A specific number quoted for the wrong range is a claim we cannot support in writing.

08 — Delivery & Rebuild

From the First Brief to the Next Campaign

Plan backwards from the date the public arrives. Inflation is the quick part. Getting the proof signed, the fixing kit matched and the spare kit packed is what takes the calendar.

1

Send the six inputs, not just a size

Give us the job, the ground, the organiser's footprint, the artwork, the quantity and venues, and the fixed date. A custom tent is quoted from that brief. With only a size in the enquiry, the first reply is six questions and the show date moves a week closer.

2

Approve one proof covering every printed surface

We lay the artwork onto the canopy, valance, walls, arch banner and column patches, send a digital proof, and start production only after sign-off. This is the step that decides the delivery date, and it is why a named surface missing from the brief costs more than an extra panel.

3

Production, packing and a written delivery date

Production time is confirmed in writing after design approval, not promised on a call. The set ships with its storage bags, valves, repair patches, user manual and the fixing kit for the floor you named. Price is Quoted per project (FOB) and the written quote follows within 24-48 hours.

4

Rebuild, or re-cover, for the next campaign

Deflate, dry and bag each labelled surface, keep the fixing kit for the next floor type with the set, and check the valance or banner that changes per city. When the campaign changes instead of the venue, the cloth cover comes off the closed inner liner and a new one goes on the same frame.

09 — Pricing

Pricing & Minimum Order

A custom tent quotation is built from the component list, how many surfaces are printed, the fixing kit for your ground and the number of repeat sets. A single unprinted bay and a touring set with an arch, columns and a connected frontage are different jobs even before freight, which is why the figure is a project quote.

Lead time—Confirmed in writing after design approval

Final pricing is confirmed in writing after design approval, and quote requests are answered within 24-48 hours. If the made to order inflatable tent is tied to a fixed date — a fair, a launch tour, a dealer conference that opens on a contract date — send the date with the enquiry so production and freight are planned against it. Resellers and event agencies asking about custom branded tent stock with their own packaging and insert cards are quoted on a separate line.

10 — Working Ground

Printed Units Photographed Where They Were Used

Three deployments on the ground they were actually specified for: a dry grass field with a full side print, park grass with a printed roof over a table, and a paved promotional stand with two matched canopies. Read them for the decisions that transfer to a custom tent brief — which surfaces were named as printed, what works at a distance, and what happens when one order becomes two units.

A Side Panel That Carries the Whole Message

A canopy with a full print running down the side panel on a dry grass field. Read it as a specification decision on a custom tent: the side, not just the roof, was named as a printed surface in the brief. A buyer who only asks for a logo on the canopy gets a very different quotation from one who lists every visible panel before the proof is drawn.

This is the layout a custom tent brief should describe: one face working from across the lawn, one working at arm's length. Fixing here is stakes and guy ropes on grass, which is why the ground belongs in the first enquiry rather than the last email.

Two Units, One Approved Artwork

When a custom tent order becomes two units, the specification gains a new question: does the print line up across the join, and are the connecting pieces in the same order? X-series modular connectors and XL-A connecting cloth are the written options for joining bays under one frontage.

11 — FAQ

الأسئلة الشائعة

Q: What does a custom tent actually mean? +
A: A custom tent is an inflatable tent specified against your brief rather than picked from a stock listing: the model, one of that model's listed sizes, the walls, the print, the fixing kit and the packing are chosen together. KCCE builds these on Oxford cloth covers over TPU air frames. Custom print starts at one unit, and every size and material claim we make comes from a printed product manual rather than a generic catalogue.
Q: Can I order custom tents in a small quantity? +
A: Yes. Custom tents start at a minimum order of one unit, so a single activation and a distributor ordering repeat sets buy on the same line. Repeat runs of the same artwork, replacement covers for a later campaign, and OEM or private-label packing are each quoted against quantity, artwork and the packaging brief rather than a published minimum.
Q: What is a custom made tent compared with a standard one? +
A: A standard tent is a listed model in a listed size with no print specification. A custom made tent fixes the platform, the size from that model's table, the walls and closures, the printed surfaces, the fixing kit for your ground and the packing in one written order. The structure is still a confirmed KCCE model — being made to order does not mean inventing a model or a dimension that has no manual behind it.
Q: Can you print our logo on a custom tent? +
A: Yes. The roof, valance and walls take print, and the X-series manual is the one that specifies 400D Oxford cloth with heat transfer printing. Send a vector logo where possible, the brand colours and the text for each surface; we return one digital proof and print only after you sign it off. For Pantone matching, OEM branding and private-label work in detail, see our inflatable tent customization page.
Q: What does custom tent design involve? +
A: The design work is mostly specification: what the tent has to do, the footprint the organiser gives you, which surfaces carry the name, which panel stays quiet, and which element changes per venue. Once those are fixed, the artwork is laid onto the canopy, valance, arch banner and column patches as one approved file. Custom shapes and a Custom Shapes Wall are written options on several ranges; anything outside the manuals is discussed against the brief.
Q: Do you make bespoke inflatable tents from scratch? +
A: We specify within confirmed product platforms rather than inventing structures. Thirteen tent models, two column types and three arch types are documented in the manuals, and custom shapes are a written option on the X, AI, AII, X6, XII and XL ranges. If your brief needs a form that is not documented, send it: we will tell you in writing what can be built from a listed platform instead of promising an undocumented structure.
Q: What is a custom branded tent? +
A: A custom branded tent is one where the brand is carried consistently across every visible surface: the canopy roof reads from a distance, the valance carries the offer, a quieter return works as a meeting or photo backdrop, and an arch banner or column patch marks the entrance. One approved artwork ties them together. It is a branding decision before it is a printing decision, because each surface needs its own file from the same proof.
Q: Is a custom canopy tent different from a custom tent? +
A: Buyers often use the two phrases for the same order. On this site the canopy is the printed Oxford cloth cover over the TPU air frame — one part of a custom tent. The whole order also covers the listed model and size, the walls, the fixing kit, the spare valves and patches, the packing and the delivery date. If you already know you want a single printed gazebo, our custom printed inflatable tent page covers that purchase in detail.
Q: Are custom outdoor tents fixed differently? +
A: Yes, and the ground is one of the six inputs we ask for. The manuals give guy ropes with ground stakes for sand and grass, and guy ropes with sand bags as an all-surface standard that leaves no mark on paving or a hired hall floor. Nothing is drilled. Tell us the surface and whether the tent moves between indoor and outdoor venues so the correct kit ships with the set.
Q: Is there really no minimum order on a custom tent? +
A: Custom print starts at one unit. What is discussed separately is repeat volume: a tour, a franchise network or a dealer programme is quoted against quantity, and OEM/ODM with its own packing and insert cards is quoted against the packaging brief. There is no published white-label minimum, because the manuals and our order terms do not state one.
Q: What do you need to quote a custom tent? +
A: Six things: the job, the ground, the organiser's footprint, the artwork, the quantity and venue list, and the fixed date. With those we can name the platform and its listed size, every printed surface, the walls and joining pieces, the fixing kit and the packing. The written quote follows within 24-48 hours as Quoted per project (FOB).
Q: What does made to order inflatable tent mean for delivery? +
A: It means production starts after the artwork proof is approved, not before. Production time is confirmed in writing after design approval rather than promised on a call, and the show date is planned into production and freight. Air-tight units are inflated once on site and hold pressure with the valve closed, so no live supply is needed while the tent is open; XIC is the one range that runs on a blower and needs power for as long as it stands.
